Veterinary Assistant - Emergency

VCA Valley Animal Hospital and Emergency Center is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant (VA)or Certified Veterinary Technician to share in our exciting, fast-paced Emergency Department. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will have excellent client service and communication skills, as we are a client-centric practice.

Location: 4984 E 22nd St, Tucson, AZ 85711

Schedule: Varies based on hospital need; currently, the most frequent schedule will be 3X12 alternative work week

Salary Range: $ 18 - 30 per hour

• Venipuncture
• Catheter placement
• Radiology
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Physical examinations and patient assessment
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Laboratory work
• Pharmacy
• Patient recovery
• Compassionate care for hospitalized patients

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have documented previous experience
• Flexibility in schedule
• Client Service Skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and methods
