Join a veterinary clinic where your work matters, your experience is valued, and the team genuinely works together.

At Pet Care & Surgery Center, you will work alongside Dr. James Clark, a veterinarian with more than 20 years of experience who understands the importance of having a dependable and capable veterinary support team.

This is a practice where veterinary assistants are trusted to contribute to patient care, support clinic operations, and help the medical team provide an efficient and positive experience for pets and their owners.

If you are an experienced veterinary assistant looking for a steady workflow, a supportive team, and opportunities to continue building your clinical skills, this could be a great fit.

    What You'll Experience

    • A collaborative and team-oriented work environment
    • A steady caseload with a variety of general practice and surgical cases
    • Opportunities to strengthen your veterinary assisting and patient-care skills
    • A clinic that values efficiency without sacrificing quality care
    • Support and guidance from an experienced veterinarian and veterinary team
    • A workplace where communication, dependability, and teamwork are valued

    What You'll Do

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Assist veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
    • Safely restrain dogs and cats for examinations and medical procedures
    • Prepare examination rooms, treatment areas, surgical suites, and medical equipment
    • Assist with laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
    • Support surgical procedures and help prepare patients for surgery
    • Monitor recovering patients and communicate any changes to the medical team
    • Assist with radiographs and other diagnostic procedures
    • Provide compassionate care to hospitalized and recovering patients
    • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment areas
    • Accurately document treatments, observations, and patient information
    • Help maintain an efficient and organized clinic workflow
    • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members

    What We're Looking For

    • Previous experience as a veterinary assistant, animal hospital assistant, kennel technician, veterinary receptionist, or veterinary support team member is preferred
    • Experience in a general practice, surgical, urgent care, or high-volume veterinary setting is a plus
    • Comfortable safely handling and restraining dogs and cats
    • Interest in surgery, anesthesia, diagnostics, and patient care
    • Dependable, organized, and able to take initiative
    • Able to multitask and remain calm in a busy veterinary clinic
    • Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
    • Strong communication skills with clients and coworkers
    • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continue developing new skills
    • Commitment to compassionate and high-quality patient care

    What We Offer

    • 401(k)
    • Health insurance stipend
    • A supportive team that values your work and contributions
    • Opportunities to expand your veterinary knowledge and clinical abilities
    • A clinic environment focused on consistency, teamwork, and quality care
