Clinical Support Manager, Hickory Veterinary & Specialty Hospital
Plymouth Meeting, PA | Full-Time | $79,000–$93,000/year, based on experience
Schedule
You'll work four 10-hour shifts each week (40 hours).
Weekdays
- You'll work Monday through Friday, with one set weekday off each week (Tuesday or Wednesday).
- Three of your weekday shifts run 7am–5pm, and one runs 10am–8pm.
Weekends
- You'll work every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
- On your weekend rotation, you'll also have the Friday before and the Monday after off

What You'll Do
- Lead the team. Hire, train, coach, and mentor clinical support staff. You'll also handle performance reviews and resolve conflicts, and you'll build a team culture where people grow and want to stay.
- Run daily operations. Build department schedules, manage workflow, and assess staffing needs.
- Be the go-to leader on the floor. Handle issues as they come up, cover administrative needs, and jump in wherever you're needed.
- Keep care safe and consistent. Develop and uphold clinical protocols, and ensure compliance with OSHA, AAHA, and state and federal regulations.
- Drive improvement. Find opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and work more efficiently.
- Partner with leadership. Work with our established hospital leadership team to improve patient care and support services, and contribute to broader hospital business decisions.
- You'll be one of three Clinical Support Managers. Together, the three of you make sure the hospital has two managers on site every weekday and a manager on site every weekend.
What You Bring
- At least 5 years of clinical experience (specialty or emergency experience strongly preferred)
- Supervisory or leadership experience (highly valued)
- Veterinary technician licensure (preferred)
- Strong skills in coaching, team building, and communicating across departments
- Working knowledge of clinical protocols, OSHA guidelines, and quality assurance
- Comfort with digital medical records and scheduling tools
- A collaborative, problem-solving approach and strong emotional intelligence
