Westford Veterinary Emergency and Referral Centeris seeking an experiencedFull Time Veterinary Criticalistto join our 24/7 emergency and referral hospital in Westford, MA. Our highly skilled team is dedicated to collaboration and delivering the highest standard of care in the industry.As a Veterinary Criticalist with us, you'll enjoy athree-day work weekwith acompetitive base salary plus production earning potential, all while being part of a supportive team that celebrates success and focuses on delivering innovative medicine.Position HighlightsSchedule:Three 12-hour shifts per week with mostly 8a-8p inpatient, but rare receiving or overnight shifts as needed to support the scheduleNo on-call dutiesResponsibilities include:Provide advanced medical management of critically ill and injured patients.Develop and oversee ICU services, workflows, and standards of care.Serve as a consultant and clinical leader for the ER and specialty teams.Establish evidence-based ICU protocols and quality assurance measures.Lead and support ICU staff training, mentorship, and team development.Guide equipment selection and implementation of advanced critical care technologies.Collaborate with hospital leadership on service growth, staffing, and strategic planning.Deliver compassionate, clear communication with clients during complex and high-acuity cases.This role combines hands-on critical care with program development and leadership in a collaborative, high-volume specialty environment.Compensation & BenefitsSalary:$225,000 - $260,000 (based on experience)$50,000 sign-on bonusHoliday and overnight coverage incentivesComprehensive benefits package, including:Continuing education allowanceUniform stipendLicense fee reimbursementHealth and dental insurance with excellent employer matchTuition reimbursementGenerous paid time off (sick, vacation, and personal float days)Pet care discounts, including staff feeding program and reduced ratesSupplemental insurance optionRequirementsDVM or equivalentBoard certified (+/- or Boards eligible) in Emergency and Critical CareAbout Our HospitalLocated in Westford, MA, just off I-495You will be part of an elite team of emergency clinicians and specialistsAccess to on-site specialty services including surgery, anesthesia, internal medicine,neurology, ophthalmology, physical rehabilitation, and urgent careTwo experienced medical directors on siteSupported by a highly trained team of veterinary professionalsA culture of collaboration with many long-term team members still with us since day oneWhy Join Rarebreed Veterinary Partners?At Rarebreed, we believe great patient care starts withempowered professionals.
