Heart of Harlem Veterinary Clinic, we are looking for a
Veterinary Receptionist who brings warmth, professionalism, and great energy to the front of our clinic. This role is so much more than answering phones. You are one of the first people our clients meet, one of the voices they remember, and a big part of what makes our clinic feel welcoming, calm, and cared for.
We are a busy, community-based veterinary clinic in Harlem with wonderful clients, great patients, and a team that truly enjoys working together. If you love people, love animals, and know how to keep things organized in a fast-moving environment, we’d love to meet you.
What we offer
- Pay: $18–$24 per hour
- Schedule: Full-time, 4 days per week, 40 hours total
- Some Saturdays required

What you’ll do
- Answer phone calls with warmth, professionalism, and confidence
- Schedule appointments and help manage the daily flow of the clinic
- Greet clients and patients and create a welcoming first impression
- Check clients in and out
- Handle client communication in person, by phone, and digitally
- Help process and file insurance claims
- Maintain accurate records and update client information
- Assist with front desk organization and administrative support
- Help clients feel heard, informed, and taken care of
- Support the medical team by keeping communication clear and organized
What we’re looking for
- Someone friendly, reliable, organized, and calm under pressure
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable handling phones, scheduling, and multitasking
- Someone who enjoys working with both people and animals
- A team player who takes pride in creating a positive client experience
- Veterinary reception, animal hospital, medical office, or customer service experience is a plus
