Job Description

Value Vet in Urbandale IA is seeking an experienced veterinary professional to join our TEAM. We are proud of our beautiful modern hospital with 8 doctors providing comprehensive progressive treatment plans to our furry friends. Value Vet offers the experience of a full-service veterinarian with walk-in clinic convenience and fair prices. Our team is dedicated to making high quality care accessible to all pet owners in our community.

We are looking for a competent and dependable Pet Care Coordinator to help with client-patient relations. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working & dependable professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.

Responsibilities & Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year medical or veterinary experience required.
  • Provides friendly excellent and expeditious client experience warmly greets clients responds to questions processes incoming and outgoing patients and handles payments.
  • Answers phone calls which may involve answering questions screening for service needs and scheduling surgery appointments.
  • Handles incoming and outgoing mail and e-mail.
  • Monitors client waiting area to ensure cleanliness.
  • Documents and maintains client information service data and other pertinent information within practice management software.
  • Escalates complex matters to senior staff.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word Excel Outlook.
