Role: Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Three-and-a-half to four days per week (34–38 hours), with rotating Saturdays

Countryside Veterinary Service-Middlefield is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our collaborative four-doctor practice. What Our Veterinary Technicians & Assistants Do
- Provide compassionate patient care and exceptional client service
- Educate clients about hospital services, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgical procedures, dentistry, treatments, and diagnostics
- Evaluate patients and communicate changes in condition or client concerns to the veterinary team
- Perform technical skills including venipuncture, laboratory testing, IV catheter placement, treatments, and radiography
- Admit, discharge, medicate, feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized patients
- Safely handle and restrain animals of all sizes
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
- Keep treatment areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready for patient care
- Stay current on medications, hospital protocols, and veterinary best practices
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care
What Our Veterinary Technicians & Assistants Bring
- Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
- Strong patient handling, restraint, and nursing skills
- Experience with venipuncture, laboratory procedures, IV catheter placement, and radiography
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy clinical environment
- Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to teamwork
