Veterinary Technician | $24-$28/hr | $2,500 Sign-On Bonus for Licensed Technicians

Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time | Three 12-Hour Overnight Shifts | 6:00 PM-6:00 AM or 8:00 PM-8:00 AM
Compensation: $24-$28/hour based on experience + $4.00/hour overnight differential 

Pet Emergency & Referral Center (PERC) is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our growing Overnight Emergency team in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Veterinary Technician who wants to utilize their full skill set, expand their emergency medicine knowledge, and work alongside a collaborative team providing advanced care for critically ill patients.

Compensation

  • $24-$28/hour based on experience
  • $4.00/hour overnight shift differential
  • $2,500 Sign-On Bonus available for experienced overnight LVT applicants

Schedule

  • Full-Time or Part-Time available
  • Three 12-hour overnight shifts
  • Shift options:
    • 6:00 PM-6:00 AM
    • 8:00 PM-8:00 AM
  • Weekend availability required

Responsibilities

  • Triage emergency patients and assist with assessment and treatment plans.
  • Provide hands-on nursing care for hospitalized emergency patients.
  • Perform Veterinary Technician duties including phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, patient monitoring, and medication administration.
  • Conduct in-house laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures.
  • Assist with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and emergency or surgical procedures.
  • Support emergency veterinarians with critical patient care.
  • Communicate patient updates effectively with the medical team.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient Emergency department.
  • Cross-train throughout hospital departments to support patient care needs.
  • Utilize advanced technical skills while continuing to grow professionally in Emergency Medicine.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of previous Veterinary Technician experience required
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician credential preferred (LVT or CVT)
  • Emergency Veterinary Medicine experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to triage and assess patients while responding appropriately in critical situations
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Flexible and willing to work in different areas of the hospital through cross-training
  • Dependable, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
  • Ability to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency environment
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
