About You

You'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills

• Veterinary technician licensure preferred
• 3-4 years of emergency experience required
• 1-2 years of leadership experience required
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care Center is a 24-hour emergency and multi-specialty practice located in Largo, Florida. Our hospital has a collaborative working environment focused on quality care for our patients and clients. We pride ourselves on offering gold standard emergency and specialty care. We are open 24/7 serving the Greater Tampa Bay Area.

You're Willing And Able To

• Lead a team of emergency technicians
• Develop and mentor technicians in emergency medicine skills and patient care
• Manage a working schedule to meet the needs of a 24/7 facility
• Mange workflow from triage to hospitalization
• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
• Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow in an emergency setting
• Assist with and facilitate emergency surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state''s Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians
• Communicate with clients regarding patient care and status
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with salary starting at $65,000
