Animal Care of Oradell is a progressive, privately owned small animal veterinary hospital dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care. We are seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) or an experienced Veterinary Technician (minimum of two years in the field) to join our growing medical team.
This position offers the opportunity to use your technical skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment with a strong emphasis on surgical and dental care. Certification is preferred, but candidates with proven hands-on experience in anesthesia, surgical support, and dentistry are encouraged to apply.
As a vital member of our clinical team, you will:
Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring
Perform dental cleanings and take dental radiographs
Provide compassionate patient care and safe animal restraint
Prepare patients for surgery and monitor recovery
Administer medications and treatments as directed
Collect and process lab samples
Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and follow-up
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with inventory management
Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician or assistant experience
Hands-on experience with anesthesia, surgery, and dental procedures
Certification (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred but not required
Strong communication and organizational skills
Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset
Hourly pay: $20.00 - $25.00 (based on skill, experience, and certification)
