Job Title: Veterinary Technician (non-certified or certified)

Salary: $15-21/hr (based on experience) 

Schedule: Part time or Full time (35 - 40 hours a week) +/- Saturdays

Location: 426 Timberlane Road Tallahassee, Fl 32312

Timberlane Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled and passionate Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are looking for a Veterinary Technician who has a minimum of 1 year of experience working in an animal hospital. As a full time employee, you would be working 35-40 hours weekly with varying shifts from 8am to 6pm Monday thru Fridays and 8am to 12pm on Saturdays. Our Veterinary Technician staff are well trained in areas such as our general practice, critical care, emergency, and surgery.

Timberlane Veterinary Technician expectations:

• You are punctual and reliable.

• You work well with others and are capable of building relationships with clients and their animals.

• You follow protocols set forth for the safety and satisfaction of staff and pets.

• You place IV catheters/perform venipuncture in critical, hospitalized, or surgical patients in small animals and exotics.

• You are responsible for getting appropriate vitals and histories on patients.

• You understand the techniques of performing diagnostics such as blood and skin cytology, radiographs, dental radiographs, fecal floats, snap tests, and blood work on IDEXX laboratory machines.

• You multitask well and are able to maintain a calm demeanor in high stress environments.

• You show interest in continuing education with veterinary medicine and thrive to broaden your knowledge in the field.

• You are able and willing to take radiographs.

• You function as a technician who is able to cross train and help areas throughout the hospital in exam rooms, surgical procedures and reception.

Experience:

• Veterinary experience: 1 year (Required)

Shift availability:

• Monday - Friday: 8am to 6pm
• +/- Saturday: 8am - 12pm
