A Day in the Life:As the Veterinary Technician Training Coordinator, you'll play a key role in developing and supporting our veterinary technicians through comprehensive onboarding, hands-on training, and skills validation. Working closely with medical leadership, you'll lead clinical training sessions, coach new and promoted technicians, and ensure consistency with AHS standards in patient care, anesthesia, and surgical support. You'll also coordinate onboarding schedules, assess progress, update training materials, and provide feedback to strengthen performance and program effectiveness all while helping advance our mission to save animal lives. Job Requirements:High school diploma/GED requiredAt least 21 years oldValid driver's license required3+ years of clinical experience as a Veterinary TechnicianExpertise in clinical procedures, laboratory and diagnostics, patient care, and animal handlingDemonstrated ability to provide feedback and guidance to othersExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning stylesPrevious teaching or training experience preferredPrevious experience as an AHS Veterinary Technician II preferredCVT certification is a plusExcellent attention to detail, administrative, and organizational skills, with the ability to organize and track the progress of multiple Veterinary TechniciansProficiency with, or ability to learn, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other software programs as necessary Physical Demands/Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to hear above the sound of the animals.
