About Rezo Therapeutics

Rezo is a different kind of biopharma company. Our mission is to dramatically increase the success rate of drug development by building a disease-agnostic, fully-integrated, network biology platform that will redefine our understanding of human disease and ability to treat it.

We are leveraging a unique integrated approach, combining capabilities in genetics, proteomics, structural biology and AI to generate deep biological insights and novel therapeutic approaches.

Located in San Francisco's vibrant Mission Bay neighborhood, Rezo is in close proximity to UCSF, numerous urban amenities, and outdoor recreational opportunities. We recognize that realizing our mission depends as much on our people as it does on our science and are building a workplace that fosters collaboration, respect, and diversity where contributing to your team's success is valued as highly as individual achievements. If you're passionate about team science and breaking down barriers to progress in drug development, please consider joining us!

The Opportunity

Rezo is seeking a VP, Finance and Administration to lead its financial and administrative functions through the next stages of growth. This leader will be a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, ensuring strong financial discipline, effective capital planning, and the operational infrastructure needed to advance Rezo's innovative science.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a lean, growing biotech. The ideal candidate combines strategic financial/accounting leadership and fundraising experience with a willingness to roll up their sleeves - building financial models, managing budgets and cash runway, improving financial visibility, and developing practical, scalable processes.

Above all, this leader will view Finance and Administration as enabling functions - working proactively with scientific and corporate teams to anticipate needs, provide the right resources at the right time, and remove obstacles to progress.

What You''ll Do:

  • Strategic Finance

  • Lead long-range financial planning and scenario modeling to support the research pipeline and company growth, partnering with the CEO and Business leadership on capital strategy, financing alternatives and valuation

  • Serve as a key partner to the CEO in fundraising: prepare materials, manage due-diligence processes, shape the financial storyline, and build strong investor relationships

  • Partner with CEO in ongoing investor relations, including investor outreach, meetings and communications

  • Financial Operations, Accounting, & Stewardship

  • Own budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting

  • Oversee accounting, audits, tax, compliance, procurement, and internal controls

  • Build and maintain practical financial planning and reporting tools that provide clear visibility into program-level budgets, actual spend, committed expenditures and forecast-to-complete, enabling effective resource allocation and cash runway management

  • Administration & Business Operations

  • Oversee core administrative functions, including IT, facilities and real estate, ensuring reliable and efficient operations that support scientific progress

  • Partner proactively with scientific and corporate teams to anticipate resource and infrastructure needs, and implement simple, scalable processes that enable their work and remove operational obstacles

  • Foster a culture of accountability, clarity, and strategic resource stewardship

What You Bring:

  • Experience

  • Demonstrated success in supporting fundraising efforts (Series A/B/C or beyond) and owning financial storytelling, diligence, and investor communications. IPO experience a plus

  • Experience in a platform biotech or technology/AI-driven drug discovery company preferred

  • 10-15+ years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years leading finance and administration at a venture-backed biotech, ideally through the transition from development candidate into IND-enabling studies and early clinical development

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience building operating plans, R&D program budgets, and cash runway models tied to R&D milestones, and supporting VC financing rounds, including investor diligence and board reporting

  • Experience implementing and/or overseeing accounting and other finance functions (e.g., accounts payable, procurement, etc.)

  • Deep strategic finance experience, including long-range planning, portfolio modeling, R&D cost structures, and scenario-based forecasting

  • Experience overseeing cross-functional operational teams and administrative functions

  • Skills & Attributes

  • Experience in fundraising and financing

  • Comfortable moving between strategic vision and hands-on execution

  • Articulate communicator who can turn complexity into clarity for investors, board members, and internal teams

  • Values-driven leader with strong judgment and integrity

  • Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant advanced training strongly preferred
