POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vice President, Microsoft Client Director is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, executive customer relationship, profitable growth, and enterprise operating model supporting our client s global Microsoft account. This position leads through a matrixed structure to align sales, operations, supply chain, engineering, finance, legal, technology, supplier, services, and regional teams around Microsoft s business priorities. The role is accountable for translating customer strategy into measurable business outcomes, strengthening executive engagement, advancing scalable program execution, and developing leadership capacity across the Microsoft account organization. Success requires strong commercial judgment, executive presence, cross-functional influence, transformation leadership, and the ability to deliver sustained results in a complex, global, and high-visibility customer environment.
Role Purpose: Lead our client s enterprise relationship with Microsoft by owning the global account strategy, executive customer engagement, profitable growth agenda, cross-functional operating model, and execution discipline required to deliver scalable business outcomes across Microsoft-related segments, regions, programs, and partner ecosystems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and execute the global Microsoft account strategy, including annual priorities, segment plans, executive engagement, business reviews, and multi-year growth agenda.
- Drive profitable growth through core business expansion, strategic programs, services growth, supplier partnerships, co-sell opportunities, and global account development.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with Microsoft, our client's leadership, strategic suppliers, and partner organizations.
- Lead cross-functional alignment across sales, operations, supply chain, engineering, finance, legal, IT, services, supplier relations, and regional teams.
- Establish governance, operating cadence, escalation paths, KPI visibility, and role clarity to support consistent global execution.
- Sponsor transformation initiatives that improve customer experience, deployment speed, automation, data transparency, inventory health, operational readiness, and scalable program delivery.
- Develop leadership capacity across the Microsoft account organization through coaching, succession readiness, expectation-setting, and stronger strategic selling focus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 12 15 years General Management experience running a P&L
- 12 15 years experience of growing market share, managing price/volume mix, exploiting new revenue streams, and working with customers/intermediaries to drive sales
- Business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and management of people and resources.
- Understands competitive landscape, market insights and effectively communicates across key internal and external stakeholders.
- 12-15 years experience in managing vendor relationships
- Experience building and developing teams, fostering collaboration and cross-functional problem solving and providing clarity around roles and responsibilities.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to exercise teamwork, leadership, and flexibility.
- Highly collaborative; able to effectively interact at all levels across the organization.
- Experience leading a strategic global customer relationship with enterprise, multi-region, and multi-segment complexity.
- Proven ability to build executive customer relationships and align senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong commercial judgment across pricing, contracts, statements of work, business cases, margin management, and risk mitigation.
- Ability to influence without authority across sales, operations, supply chain, engineering, finance, legal, IT, suppliers, and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to lead transformation, operate in ambiguity, and create scalable operating models.
- Executive communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex account, financial, operational, and customer information into clear decisions and actions.
