Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer

Antero Technology Services is looking for a proactive person with a TS/SCI clearance to join our Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering Team. Your team reliably delivers the VDI systems for tens of thousands of mission-critical customers on a global scale. You will be trusted to assess and re-engineer the enterprise architecture to enhance the stability, scalability, and capabilities for our customers. You’ll develop process scripting and application health monitoring automation to make your systems robust and reliable across the global enterprise.

What you’ll be doing

• Engineer, design, implement, test, and maintain full life-cycle management of the complex Citrix XenDesktop and NetScaler solutions deployed in our enterprise environment
• Design and support Microsoft infrastructure solutions including Azure Virtual Desktop, on-prem, cloud and hybrid
• Manage Citrix products (Virtual Apps, Virtual Desktops, ADC, Provisioning)
• Engineer, implement, monitor, and tune VDI environment to comply with cybersecurity approval processes for new VDI solutions
• Develop and execute scripted tasks in PowerShell or Python
• Provide Tier 3 and above support as needed (troubleshooting, problem resolution support, and Root Cause Analysis
• Prepare and maintain documentation for VDI solutions, processes, and procedures related to engineering projects
• Engage with customer leadership on technical considerations for problems, issues, or opportunities

What you’ll need to have

• 8570 IAT Level II Certification (typically Security+)
• TS/SCI with CI Poly, or willingness and ability to be cleared
• High School+12 years; Bachelor’s+8; Master’s+6
• Experience developing and testing desktop application packaging and deployment technologies
• Experience with Citrix XenApp, AppLayering, and/or Enterprise Layer Manager (ELM)
• Advanced experience with SQL Clustering Failover
• Experience with cloud service implementation, enterprise networking, and enterprise architectures
• Expertise in the Windows 10 area – Standard Operating Environment (SOE), imaging, evergreen, etc.
• Required certification: Azure; Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 Administration
• Preferred certification(s): Managing Modern Desktops (MD-101); Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (1Y0-312); Azure
