IT Support Specialists
Pay Rate: Up to $25/hour (Based on Experience)
Location: Westfield, NJ (On-site)
Project Duration: Approximately 2–3 weeks
Background Check: Required
Start: Immediate project need; candidates should be available to start quickly pending a background check

Our client in Westfield, NJ is seeking IT Support Specialists for a short-term, approximately 2–3 week IT project. This is a hands-on opportunity supporting the remediation of computer systems and workstations using established procedures and tools. Candidates with IT support, desktop support, computer repair, or related technical experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities of the IT Support Specialist will include:

• Assist with virus and malware remediation on computer systems and workstations.
• Follow established procedures to identify, scan, clean, and remediate affected devices.
• Use provided security, antivirus, and remediation tools according to project guidelines.
• Perform basic desktop and workstation troubleshooting as needed during the remediation process.
• Verify systems are functioning properly following remediation activities.
• Follow established procedures for handling systems that require additional troubleshooting or escalation.
• Maintain accurate records of devices serviced, remediation steps completed, and project status.
• Work efficiently through assigned systems to help meet project timelines and remediation goals.
• Follow all client IT security, data handling, and workplace procedures throughout the project.

• Previous IT support, desktop support, help desk, computer repair, technical support, or related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows computers and basic workstation troubleshooting.
• General understanding of computer viruses, malware, antivirus software, or endpoint security preferred.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and established remediation procedures accurately.
• Comfortable working hands-on with desktop and/or laptop computers.
• Ability to document completed work and accurately track assigned devices or tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a project-based environment.
• Ability to identify issues that require escalation to more experienced technical personnel.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
