Snap-on's Product Center is hiring forklift drivers with a current valid certification for 3rd shift positions in our Crystal Lake warehouse (core hours are Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am plus overtime). The VNA drivers will operate order pickers and swing reach trucks, both of which operate on a wire-guided system.

- Starting wage = $19.78 per hour; 3 months = $21.38; 6+ months = $23.03 (plus $0.60 shift premium for 3rd shift hours)

Responsibilities
- Transport materials to different locations within the facility.
- Optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency.
- Secure loads to the machine before transportation.
- Complete daily inspection of equipment and any fall arrest equipment.
- Operate and manage technical equipment.
- Manage inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment.
- Pick orders for shipment.
- Identify workplace safety hazards.
- Adhere to safety management standards.
Qualifications
- 6+ months of forklift experience in a warehouse environment.
- High school diploma/equivalent or at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work 3rd shift hours plus mandatory overtime.
- Must have a current valid forklift certification.
- Must be willing to operate VNA forklifts where you will be raised up to 25 ft. in the air.
- Ability to work with others.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Proficiency in operating technical machinery and RF scanners.
- Attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to read, write, and do simple math.
