Job Description
A nonprofit company on Staten Island, NY is seeking a Vocational Evaluator to join their growing team.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm
- Setting: Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Conduct vocational assessments covering reading, writing, math comprehension, career interests, computer proficiency, and behavioral observations.
- Interview participants to gather information on employment, education, and training history.
- Administer and score vocational evaluation tools and other standardized testing measures.
- Prepare detailed IVAP reports with vocational goal recommendations and work-related activity plans.
- Collaborate with case managers, certified rehabilitation counselors, and other service providers to support participant progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Vocational Rehabilitation, Vocational Education, Psychology, or Education
- Experience in Vocational Assessment, Vocational Evaluation, Career Coaching, or Workforce Development
- Knowledge of Vocational Systems, Valid Testing procedures, and the Labor Market
- Strong writing, grammar, and typing skills with the ability to synthesize information and make appropriate inferences
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
