A growing consumer lending company is seeking a VP, Credit Risk & Portfolio Strategy to lead portfolio management initiatives across a large consumer lending portfolio. This is a highly visible leadership role focused on driving portfolio performance, profitability, customer engagement, and risk management through data-driven strategy and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize portfolio management strategies for existing customers
Lead initiatives related to credit line management, retention, delinquency prevention, account growth, and portfolio profitability
Monitor portfolio performance and identify opportunities to improve risk-adjusted returns
Partner with senior leadership to evaluate business performance and drive strategic decisions
Lead and mentor a team of analysts while remaining hands-on with strategy development and analytics
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, finance, and risk teams
Ideal Background
7+ years of experience in U.S. consumer lending
Credit card experience strongly preferred
Experience in portfolio management, credit risk, and/or acquisition strategy
Prior people management experience
Strong understanding of portfolio profitability and P&L drivers
Proficiency with SAS, SQL, Python, or similar analytical tools
Track record of developing and implementing data-driven credit strategies
