Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the VP of Global Marketing owns the strategy-to-execution engine that transforms scientific capability into measurable commercial growth. Operating in a SaaS-led life sciences business, you will architect and lead Instem''s global marketing function-spanning product commercialization strategy, demand generation, customer advocacy, and engagement-while leading a distributed global team.

Your mandate extends beyond tactical marketing support to include fundamental strategic work: developing compelling product narratives, defining stakeholder personas and market segmentation, building coherent pricing and platform positioning strategies, and ensuring marketing influence over product development from early development phases onward.Your north star is predictable MQL-to-revenue conversion that drives bookings. What You'll Be Doing

Product Commercialization & Strategic Positioning

• Define and develop compelling product narratives, use cases, and value propositions that differentiate Instem solutions in preclinical discovery and drug development markets
• Map and prioritize stakeholder ecosystems and influencer cohorts (beyond existing users) including study directors, toxicologists, IT leaders, and procurement decision-makers; establish micro-segmentation and persona-driven engagement strategies
• Architect coherent pricing and monetization strategy across the product portfolio to create consistency, transparency, and strategic alignment between SaaS subscriptions, episodic services, and bundled offerings
• Establish unified platform positioning and cross-product narrative that creates an integrated Instem story; ensure individual products reinforce rather than dilute overall portfolio strategy
• Conduct use case identification and market opportunity assessment to quantify addressable opportunity and prioritize go-to-market sequencing by segment and geography
• Engage with Product and R&D during the development process; influence strategy decisions early and ensure commercial viability before launch
• Assess product-to-strategy fit and recommend repositioning, pausing, or divesting offerings that cannot align with coherent market positioning or commercial objectives

Lead Generation & Pipeline Acceleration

• Drive predictable MQL-to-SQL conversion and measurable pipeline impact aligned with product and market positioning
• Own global lead generation quota and execute monthly metric review with real-time course correction
• Build data-driven demand generation machine that optimizes website enquiry-to-MQL conversion and captures intent signals from target stakeholder personas
• Partner with Sales to ensure ABM programs, technical content, and enablement accelerate pipeline conversion and closed-won bookings

Customer Marketing & Market Advocacy

• Build retention and expansion revenue through customer-centric engagement and advocacy aligned with product narratives
• Establish unified customer experience spanning lifecycle from awareness through advocacy, demonstrating ROI and scientific value
• Build customer advocacy program with case studies and testimonials; cultivate customer champions and industry influencers for drug development solutions
• Align customer marketing with Sales to support contract renewals, upsells, and net revenue retention

Brand Positioning & Creative Excellence

• Elevate corporate brand equity and category leadership in preclinical discovery and drug development across all product lines
• Champion bold, distinctive creative across all touchpoints that differentiates Instem and resonates with study directors and pharma/biotech decision-makers
• Direct technical content creation (white papers, case studies, webinars, research) that demonstrates scientific rigor, workflow understanding, and commercial value
• Ensure all creative and content reinforces product narratives and platform positioning strategy

Engagement Innovation & AI Maturation

• Evolve AI capability and scale engagement velocity to capture intent and build pipeline aligned with personas and use cases
• Inherit and mature the AI operating model in marketing, advancing beyond current state
• Drive engagement innovation across digital and events channels-think strategically different, not just harder
• Establish monthly reporting cadence with clean pipeline definitions, accurate conversion metrics, and reliable business intelligence

Team Leadership & Operations

• Build and lead high-performing, distributed global marketing team across product strategy, demand generation, product marketing, creative, and operations
• Recruit and retain top-tier talent with strong commercial acumen and scientific credibility to execute both strategic and tactical work
• Manage marketing budgets, agency partnerships, technology stack, and digital assets with disciplined fiscal stewardship
• Act as strategic partner to CCO and Executive team, translating marketing strategy, product narratives, and pipeline metrics into business outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Product Commercialization Strategy: Proven track record developing product narratives, positioning strategies, and pricing frameworks; experience influencing product development and making strategic portfolio decisions based on commercial viability and market fit
• AI Delivery: Proven track record delivering AI-enabled marketing strategies; experience inheriting and maturing an AI model to drive measurable business outcomes
• Life Sciences Expertise: Several years in B2B pharma/biotech, clinical software, or preclinical discovery with deep understanding of scientific workflows, drug development lifecycles, and research operations; ability to engage study directors and domain experts credibly

Global Head Experience: Established experience leading a global marketing organisation at head of function level, with direct reporting responsibility to a CEO or Chief Commercial Officer.

• Commercial Acumen: Metrics-driven mindset with expert understanding of marketing automation, CRM, digital attribution, SaaS unit economics, and pricing strategy
