Job Description

JOB SUMMARY The Vice President of HV/MV Services is an executive leadership role responsible for the full operational, commercial, and strategic performance of ACT's High Voltage and Medium Voltage service line. This position oversees the day-to-day operations of ACT's HV/MV technical support team and is accountable for developing and delivering transactional services and scopes across all HV/MV needs within Solar, ESS, and Data centers and all other aspects of electrical work within these facilities - including in-field feeder repairs, collection system maintenance, substation maintenance and support, switchgear, transformers, and associated electrical infrastructure. The primary focus of field repair activities is on MV feeder systems and collection circuit infrastructure within the solar facility boundary. The VP of HV/MV Services is also responsible for driving new business development, building scalable business processes, and positioning ACT's HV/MV service line for sustained growth. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role that requires technical expertise, executive-level communication skills, and a proven ability to lead and grow high-performing teams. This position is approximately 50% reporting and 50% field-based, with travel as required to support operations, client relationships, and business development activities.

This role is hybrid, partly based in the field, and is not assigned to the ACT Power Services main office location. Employees primarily work for or from customer sites where ACT Power Services provides Operations & Maintenance services. While the listed location(s) are preferred based on the primary site assignment, candidates residing in other locations may be considered. Travel to other sites across the United States may be required based on operational and business needs.

Responsibilities Operations Leadership

Oversee day-to-day operations of ACTs HV/MV technical support team, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery across all active accounts and projects. Set operational priorities, resource allocation, and scheduling to meet client commitments and internal performance targets. Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex HV/MV issues, troubleshooting challenges, and critical client situations. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, NERC standards, NETA standards, ANSI standards, and applicable utility interconnection requirements.

Transactional Services & Scope Development

Develop, standardize, and continuously improve ACTs HV/MV service offerings, including MV feeder repair programs, transmission line repair, collection system repair, substation maintenance support, and emergency response services. Define scope-of-work templates, pricing structures, and deliverable standards for recurring HV/MV service offerings across solar O&M and construction projects. Oversee MV feeder and collection circuit repair activities, including cable splicing, terminations, fault location, switchgear, reclosers, and pad-mounted equipment. Support substation maintenance activities, including power transformers, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, protection and control systems, and SCADA integration. Partner with project managers and field leaders to ensure accurate scoping, resource planning, and successful project execution. Lead scope reviews and technical proposal development for new and existing client accounts.

Identify and implement process improvements that reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance service quality.

New Business Development

Build and maintain strong relationships with independent power producers (IPPs), developers, EPC firms, asset owners, and utilities. Lead the development of proposals, presentations, service agreements, and scopes of work for new business opportunities. Represent ACT at industry conferences, client meetings, and professional events as an HV/MV subject matter expert. Partner with executive leadership to establish growth objectives, market strategies, and competitive positioning for the HV/MV service line.

Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate invoicing, contract compliance, and timely collections.

Customer & Contractor Relations

Lead client communications regarding service performance, issue resolution, scope changes, and contract renewals. Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, including qualification, performance management, and contract compliance.
