Summary:
Coordinates the process for the submittal and tracking of Work Authorization Forms (WAF)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Trains personnel to the requirements of NAVSEA Standard Item 009-106.
Maintains a log of personnel trained by contract.
Verifies Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) are filled out correctly by the originator and document all required repairs as noted by the scope of work.
Assign tracking numbers to each WAF.
Know how to perform the tag-out process.
Submit WAFs to customers and track until they are approved.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and seek assistance with weights over 50 lbs.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Able to withstand environmental factors such as:
Outside weather conditions
High, precarious places
Exposed to fumes and airborne particles
Very loud noise level
Required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms on a regular basis.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and seek assistance with weights over 50 lbs.
Occasionally perform other physical activities as required, such as:
Stooping
Bending
Squatting
Climbing (including but not limited to vertical and incline ladders, mast and kingpost)
Crawling (including but limited to through scuttles, manhole covers, tanks, and voids).
