Warehouse Associate

Our client, a records and logistics operations team is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the operations group supporting day-to-day record center order processing and building move activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, comfort with physical tasks, and the ability to follow safety procedures consistently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Chicago, IL

Pay Range: $17-$18

Shift: 07:00AM - 03:30PM

What's the Job?

• Process incoming and outgoing orders by locating and moving storage boxes, bins, and totes
• Manually lift, carry, and arrange boxes containing files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials
• Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks while walking on uneven and concrete surfaces
• Use a proprietary computer system and a handheld scanner to track orders and determine box locations
• Load, shrink wrap, and stage pallets at ground level or on carts, including loading pallets onto trucks

What's Needed?

• Ability to lift and carry boxes ranging from 10–100 lbs. on a regular basis without assistance
• Comfort with frequent kneeling, squatting, stooping, crawling, twisting, and bending throughout the shift
• Ability to read and write English to understand labels, instructions, and order details
• Experience or comfort operating material handling equipment such as hand carts and pallet jacks
• Ability to climb and balance on ladders safely
