Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver to support our San Diego operations. This hands-on position combines warehouse management, inventory handling, order fulfillment, and deliveries to U.S. Navy ships and military installations.

As Shoreline expands its distribution operations beyond the Navy Ship Store program, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on additional delivery routes, customer-facing responsibilities, and potentially sales activities with commission-based earning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management

Receive, inspect, verify, and properly stock incoming inventory shipments.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Conduct regular physical inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.

Accurately track inventory movement, shortages, damages, and discrepancies.

Prepare, pick, pack, and stage orders for timely delivery.

Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, with appropriate training and certification.

Delivery & Logistics

Coordinate and execute timely deliveries to U.S. Navy ships stores, and other designated customer locations.

Load, secure, transport, and unload products safely and efficiently.

Verify order accuracy and obtain required delivery documentation and proof of delivery.

Maintain professional relationships with military personnel and customers at delivery locations.

Communicate delivery updates, scheduling conflicts, and operational issues promptly to the Operations Coordinator.

Follow all applicable safety procedures, installation access requirements, and company delivery protocols.

Operational Support & Accountability

Work closely with the Operations Coordinator to maintain accurate inventory records and delivery schedules.

Identify and communicate inventory discrepancies, damaged products, and operational concerns.

Follow established standard operating procedures and maintain accurate documentation.

Demonstrate initiative in identifying opportunities to improve warehouse organization, efficiency, and delivery execution.

Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and consistently meet operational deadlines.

Potential advancement opportunities include:

Expanded Distribution Responsibilities: Assume responsibility for additional delivery routes and commercial customer accounts as Shoreline expands its distribution footprint. These responsibilities may include additional performance-based compensation or commission opportunities.

Ship Store Sales: Based on demonstrated performance, training, and business needs, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to transition into a customer-facing sales role within the Navy Ship Store program, with commissions tied to eligible sales.

Operational Leadership: As the business grows, opportunities may become available to take on greater responsibility in warehouse management, logistics coordination, and regional distribution operations.

Advancement and additional compensation opportunities will be based on individual performance, demonstrated capabilities, successful training, and the company's operational needs.

Qualifications

Required

Strong work ethic, dependability, and consistent attendance.

Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow established procedures.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to safely lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to perform physical warehouse duties, including standing, walking, bending, and loading products for extended periods.

Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-service-oriented attitude.

Willingness to learn new systems, procedures, and responsibilities.

Preferred

Previous experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, inventory management, or delivery services.

Experience operating pallet jacks or forklifts. Forklift certification may be arranged prior to assignment.

Familiarity with inventory management or warehouse software.

Prior military service, military installation experience, or familiarity with Navy operations.

Existing military installation access credentials are a plus but not required.
