Warehouse Associate

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing distribution operation in Houston, for a hands-on Warehouse Associate to join their fulfillment team. Day to day, you will be on your feet moving product, scanning orders, and keeping the warehouse floor organized and safe. The best fit is someone reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working as part of a fast-paced team where the pace and priorities can shift by the hour.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately according to pick tickets
• Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts
• Scan inventory in and out using a handheld RF scanner
• Sort and label incoming shipments and route them to correct storage locations
• Perform regular cycle counts and report discrepancies to the supervisor
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe aisles and work areas
• Inspect products for damage and flag issues before shipment
• Assist with loading trailers and verifying bill of lading paperwork
• Follow all safety protocols including proper lifting techniques and PPE use
• Support other warehouse tasks as assigned during peak periods

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior warehouse, distribution, or manual labor experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Comfortable operating a pallet jack; forklift certification a plus
• Basic math and reading skills for order accuracy
• Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shifts including possible overtime
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
