Warehouse Associate

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing distribution operation in Houston, for a hands-on Warehouse Associate to join their fast-paced facility. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, working with a team, and keeping product moving efficiently from receiving to shipping.

Day to day, you will be on your feet picking, packing, and staging orders, scanning inventory, and helping keep the warehouse floor organized and safe. People who thrive in this role are reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a physical, high-volume environment where accuracy and teamwork matter just as much as speed.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and stage customer orders accurately and on time
• Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks and other equipment
• Scan and record inventory using a handheld scanner or warehouse system
• Organize and maintain clean, safe storage areas throughout the facility
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies
• Label and prepare outbound shipments according to carrier requirements
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed and certified
• Report equipment issues or safety hazards to the shift supervisor
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior warehouse, logistics, or manual labor experience is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift
• Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods
• Basic math and reading skills for order accuracy
• Forklift or pallet jack certification a plus, or willingness to obtain
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Availability to work assigned shifts including occasional overtime
