Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for using safe lifting techniques efficiently sorting handling loading and unloading freight from over-the-road equipment containers city trailers andor straight trucks. The Warehouse Associate uses hand trucks pallet jacks forklifts in the loading and unloading of freight and other job duties as assigned.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check as a condition of employment. Certain felony convictions and convictions involving violence theft abuse dishonesty or breach of trust may disqualify candidates based on the nature of the position and applicable law.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include but are not limited to the following

Operates all material handling equipment in a safe manner Working with different departments to meet demands of the business Communicating any issues to the supervisor that can arise from loading and unloading Keeping up to date with new systems and technology Participate in daily inventory processes auditing and researching discrepancies Demonstrate reliability and commitment to punctuality Performs all job tasks as assigned may vary depending on client requirements

Minimum Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Good communication skills Ability to work well with a team Proficient in attention to detail Ability to work overtime as needed to meet operational and customer demands Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
