Warehouse Associate

This role supports a high-volume warehouse and production operation by performing a variety of shipping, packaging, mail sorting, and jewelry handling tasks. You will work on multiple stations across the shipping and jewelry areas, handling repetitive but varied duties in a fast-paced, clean, and well-organized environment. Team members cross-train across stations and contribute directly to efficient, accurate, and timely order fulfillment, particularly during busy holiday periods.

• Work across multiple shipping stations and cross-train on different tasks to support overall warehouse operations.
• Perform jewelry packaging by placing jewelry into blue velvet bags, inserting care cards, and placing items into boxes or envelopes, then sealing and applying barcode labels and invoices using a hot glue gun.
• Support pick/pack operations by opening boxes, removing products, and placing them on the conveyor line for further processing and repacking into shipping envelopes.
• Execute shipping tasks by placing products into cardboard mailer trays, inserting trays into envelopes, and sending them through the conveyor sealing process.
• Handle high-volume sorting on a conveyor line, working at a fast pace to process approximately 2,000 pieces per hour.
• Scan barcodes on items moving along the conveyor and sort mail accurately to the correct carrier based on shipping requirements.
• Work in the jewelry inspection area using tools such as ring sizers, color charts, and magnifying glasses to inspect products from vendors and personalized items for correct size, color, writing, and overall quality.
• Tray up inspected jewelry products, place them into mailer trays, and prepare them for shipment.
• Perform jewelry bench duties by placing jewelry into blue velvet bags, inserting items into mailer pack envelopes, sealing them, and attaching invoices using a hot glue gun.
• Follow verbal instructions carefully and learn tasks by shadowing experienced team members, replicating processes accurately without written procedures.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy, engagement, and attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Stand for the full shift while working on conveyor lines and at workstations, maintaining productivity and focus throughout the day.
• Adhere to safety and cleanliness standards within the warehouse and production environment.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude, contributing to a supportive and collaborative team culture.
• Support extended hours and potential second-shift work during the holiday ramp period (NovemberDecember), as needed.

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily warehouse and production tasks.
• Comfort working in a repetitive, tedious, and fast-paced role while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Ability to stand on your feet for the entire shift in a production and warehouse environment.

• Experience in packaging, production, mailroom operations, general labor, mail sorting, or packing is beneficial.
• Familiarity with RF scanners or similar scanning devices is a plus.
• Experience working in environments with automatic conveyor lines is helpful.
• Previous experience in high-volume, fast-paced warehouse or fulfillment settings is advantageous.
• Comfort handling jewelry or small detailed items, including inspection for quality and accuracy, is a plus.
• Flexibility to work additional hours, including potential second shift during the holiday ramp period, is highly preferred.

The role is based in a large, well-lit, clean, and organized warehouse and production facility equipped with automatic conveyor lines for packaging and shipping. Approximately 80 people work on the production floor, primarily on first shift, with a second shift added only during the holiday ramp period. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During the holiday ramp (NovemberDecember), hours extend to 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with additional overtime available and some team members working up to 60 hours per week. The environment can become hot during the summer months, and the team provides support to help employees stay comfortable. There are no specific medical clearances, formal certifications, or specialized PPE requirements for this role. The dress code is casual and practical; team members may wear shorts and t-shirts, and earbuds or headphones are allowed in certain sections, subject to safety guidelines. Overall, the setting combines structured processes with a relaxed, approachable atmosphere focused on safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrington, CT.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
