Overview
We are seeking a
Tool Room Attendant / Warehouse Counter Associate to support daily warehouse, inventory, and storeroom operations. This position functions similarly to a parts counter role, assisting internal customers with locating, preparing, and distributing tools, parts, and supplies. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to attendance, accuracy, and workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Pull and prepare requested inventory items for pickup and distribution.
- Assist internal customers at the service counter with parts, tools, and supply requests.
- Verify incoming inventory and stock materials in the appropriate locations.
- Read and follow work orders accurately.
- Maintain inventory organization and storeroom cleanliness.
- Ensure the storeroom remains clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Support inventory control and material management activities.
- Work independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of recent, stable work history with no unexplained employment gaps exceeding 3 months.
- At least 6 months of customer service experience.
- Strong attendance record, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to learn product, tool, and inventory information quickly.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass a government background check and drug screening.
- Commitment to workplace policies, including restrictions on personal cell phone use during working hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, inventory, storeroom, or materials management experience.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Experience working with tools, parts, maintenance supplies, or inventory systems.
- Experience in a parts counter, tool room, warehouse counter, or internal customer service environment.
- Ability to maintain inventory accuracy and organization in a fast-paced environment.
