We are seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automation solutions for high-volume distribution and fulfillment centers. This role will focus on integrating robotics, conveyor systems, and warehouse control software to enhance operational efficiency and scalability. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial automation, robotics, and warehouse execution systems (WES/WCS).
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions, including robotics, conveyors, sortation systems, and AS/RS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and engineering, to implement automation strategies.
Optimize warehouse workflows by integrating automation technologies with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Troubleshoot and maintain automated systems to ensure minimal downtime and peak performance.
Conduct data analysis to identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Manage vendor relationships for automation hardware and software solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations when implementing automation projects.
Train warehouse staff on automation systems and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in warehouse automation, robotics, or industrial automation.
Strong knowledge of PLC programming, control systems, and industrial networking.
Experience with WMS, WCS, and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
Familiarity with robotics, AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), and AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles).
Ability to analyze data and develop process improvements using automation.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Python, SQL, or other programming languages for automation analytics.
Knowledge of IoT and AI applications in warehouse automation.
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience.
