Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to support our EGL1 site execution team within the Grid & Digital Solutions department of the Thermal Power Plants & HVDC division of Metlen, based in Torness, Scotland, UK.
What your role will encompass:
Coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, handling, and issuance of materials and equipment.
Ensure accurate recording of inbound and outbound materials within warehouse systems.
Maintain inventory control, stock levels, and material traceability.
Perform regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
Coordinate material deliveries and dispatches in line with project requirements and construction schedules.
Ensure correct labeling, storage conditions, and segregation of materials.
Liaise with Procurement, Logistics, and Site Construction teams regarding material availability, shortages, and discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, warehouse safety procedures, and company policies.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse facilities at all times.
Support audits, inspections, and reporting activities related to warehouse and inventory management.
Prepare and submit warehouse reports as required by project management.
What you bring to the role:
Diploma or Bachelor"s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse coordination, logistics, or material control, preferably within construction, EPC, energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
Previous experience supporting large-scale site-based projects is highly desirable.
Good knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse procedures.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and external suppliers.
Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
