Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a growing aerospace manufacturing organization in Windsor, CT seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to support shipping, receiving, inventory control, materials movement, and production support activities. This role requires a hands-on professional with experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts, coordinating warehouse operations, reading blueprints, and assisting with light assembly as needed. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Verify incoming shipments for quantity, quality, and accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Coordinate the efficient movement of materials from receiving to warehouse storage locations.
- Prepare products for shipment, including packaging, crating, labeling, and documentation.
- Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and related records to determine shipping priorities and requirements.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
- Stage materials and components for production and return unused materials to inventory.
- Verify quantities and quality of inventory and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Organize and maintain warehouse locations, part numbers, lot codes, and revision control information.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory transactions.
- Support production teams by delivering materials and supplies as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and work instructions.
- Perform light assembly and other manufacturing support functions as needed.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Cross-train within different departments to support operational needs.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or materials coordination within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Experience with light assembly and manufacturing support activities.
- Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse procedures, and shipping processes.
- Experience using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills and computer proficiency.
- Ability to lift materials and remain on your feet throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse and manufacturing environments.
