Job Summary
Riester's Appliances is looking for a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team! As a Delivery Driver, you are a key member of the team! You are responsible for delivering household goods to our clients. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees. As a Warehouse Associate you will be receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock.
This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, energetic, and enjoy helping people. Ideally, you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Delivery Lead in all tasks
- Deliver major household appliances to different addresses and different routes
- Follow route and schedule
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs.
- Plan and organize materials and items in the warehouse, including inventory tasks
- Maintains high activity/productivity level
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record; criminal, driving and drug screenings will be executed and are mandatory
- Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, i.e., box truck, van, or pickup truck
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with current customers and vendors
- Warehouse duties require ability to work on their feet for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
