HOURS: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMPOSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking a dependable, self-motivated, and hardworking Warehouse Janitorial / Porter to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout its warehouse facility. This position is responsible for removing cardboard, disposing of warehouse waste, operating cleaning equipment, and maintaining clean work areas both inside and outside the facility.The ideal candidate enjoys a physically active work environment, takes pride in maintaining a clean facility, and can work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and maintains a steady, productive work pace throughout the day.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Remove cardboard boxes from warehouse assembly workstations and transport them to the trash compactor.
- Operate the trash compactor and notify management when the container needs to be replaced or emptied by Waste Management.
- Operate an electric pallet jack and/or tow motor to move pallets, transport garbage, and dispose of cabinet waste.
- Safely handle and dispose of heavy wooden materials and cabinet waste.
- Operate an electric floor sweeper to clean warehouse floors.
- Sweep warehouse floors daily, removing loose cardboard, broken pallet pieces, wood debris, and other materials.
- Empty garbage containers in the cafeteria and restrooms daily.
- Empty office garbage containers periodically.
- Maintain and empty the outdoor garbage can near the employee picnic table.
- Keep the exterior truck dock area clean and free of debris, leaves, and other materials.
- Assist with general warehouse cleaning and facility maintenance.
- Help with additional warehouse projects and duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS
- Previous warehouse, janitorial, porter, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
- Experience operating an electric pallet jack and/or tow motor preferred.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and workplace safety.
- Must be dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated.
- Ability to maintain a consistent and productive work pace.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
- Willingness to assist with various warehouse projects as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to remain on your feet for most of the workday.
- Ability to continuously walk, bend, reach, sweep, and perform repetitive physical activities.
- Ability to lift and move cardboard, garbage, wooden pallet pieces, and cabinet waste.
- Ability to handle heavy materials and load items into the trash compactor when necessary.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the shift.
