    REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor, East

    Hours: 5AM-1:30PM Mon-Fri, with overtime as needed.

    SUMMARY:

    The East Warehouse Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating all East Operations warehouse activities, including receiving, material handling, inventory control, product storage, and shipping support. This position serves as the primary owner of day-to-day warehouse performance, driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and inventory accuracy objectives. The East Warehouse Lead is expected to actively identify and resolve operational issues, develop and implement process improvements, create solutions that enhance efficiency and workflow, and provide hands-on leadership by working alongside team members to ensure operational goals are achieved.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Includes the following:

    • Lead and coordinate daily Genesis East Warehouse operations, including receiving, material handling, inventory control, storage, picking, shipping, and other related warehouse activities.
    • Provide hands-on leadership by working alongside associates, directing shift priorities, assigning work, and ensuring tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
    • Drive operational performance by monitoring workflow, identifying bottlenecks, resolving issues, and implementing process improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and inventory accuracy.
    • Maintain inventory integrity through accurate transactions in ERP/MRP systems, inventory control activities, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
    • Train, coach, and develop associates on warehouse processes, equipment operation, safety requirements, and best practices to ensure consistent execution and performance.
    • Review and verify operational documentation including receiving, inventory, shipping, and other warehouse records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
    • Partner with the Warehouse Supervisor to establish priorities, develop standard work, implement new processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Provide performance feedback and recommendations to the Warehouse Supervisor regarding associate performance, training needs, and operational improvements.
    • Operate and oversee the safe use of powered industrial equipment, including sitdown and stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and other material handling equipment.
    • Conduct equipment inspections and safety checks, ensuring equipment is maintained in safe working condition and deficiencies are promptly addressed.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by enforcing 6S housekeeping standards and safety procedures.
    • Identify, investigate, and resolve operational, inventory, quality, and customer service issues, escalating concerns when necessary.
    • Participate in and lead Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall warehouse performance.
    • Perform physical warehouse duties as required, including lifting, moving, storing, picking, and transporting materials and products weighing up to 50 LBS and team lifting when necessary.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • HS graduate or equivalent.
    • Solid work history including related receiving, material handling, and some shipping experience.
    • Must possess standup/sitdown forklift operation experience and/or certification and the ability to use all types of material handling equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret production schedule, inventory reports, packing lists and check-in incoming material and sign for the same.
    • Must demonstrate a good attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to exhibit good judgment related to safety, quality, cost and delivery of parts, processes and product.
    • Basic math, computer and keyboarding skills to work within the ERP/MRP system.
