Warehouse Loader

Pay Range: $15.00hr - $20.00hr

Job Overview:

Our organization is seeking a Loader to be responsible for loading pre-assembled merchandise, pallets, and master containers for shipment or transporting in large shipping containers under general supervision. The role involves loading and unloading product shipments, preparing goods for transport, wrapping pallets to ensure stability, and safely operating stock trucks and mechanical jacks. Ride-on pallet jack experience is required.

Candidate Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will accurately load customer pallets onto trucks in the order suggested by the loading map, ensuring product is secure and pallets are stable. The role is responsible for loading pre-assembled merchandise, pallets, and master containers for shipment or transport under general supervision.

• Load and unload shipments of product, including weighing, handling, transporting, marking, addressing, and packing loads.
• Load shipping containers according to mapping and special instructions to avoid damages and maintain load stability.
• Wrap pallets by machine or hand to ensure stability during transport.
• Unload and clean out shipping containers as necessary.
• Operate stock trucks and mechanical jacks consistently and safely.
• Hand load product onto shipping containers as required.
• Verify product has been loaded correctly for export by referring to export documentation.

Requirements:

• At least 1+ years of related warehouse experience.
• Proven experience operating a ride-on pallet jack.
• Previous experience in food distribution loading and warehouse operations.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Skills and Profile:

• Prior experience within a food distribution warehouse environment.
• Strong soft skills: open to receiving and constructive in providing feedback.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team culture.

Work Environment and Schedule:

This is an onsite position located in a warehouse dock environment. The work schedule runs Sunday through Thursday from 6:00 PM until completion, with 1 week of training provided upon hire. Weekend work may occur on rare occasions.
