Material Handlers
Mid-level material handling position responsible for safely and efficiently loading, unloading, storing, moving, and documenting materials within a warehouse environment.
Required Equipment - Upon Certification
- Operate pallet jacks
- Rider jacks
- Stand-up forklifts
- Order/cherry pickers
- Turret/Swing reach trucks
- Reach trucks
- Forklifts up to 15,000 lbs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and sign Bills of Lading (BOLs), verify packing lists, and maintain shipping/receiving documentation.
- Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance.
- Perform picking, put-away, inventory movements, and order fulfillment in accordance with SOPs.
- Load, unload, move, and store materials using approved equipment.
- Label, tag, scan, count, weigh, and record materials using RF scanners and WMS systems.
- Secure materials for transport using proper strapping, bracing, padding, and packaging methods.
- Follow work orders, shipping instructions, and operational procedures.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper tracking and documentation.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards.
- Perform housekeeping duties to support a clean and safe warehouse.
- Provide professional service when loading customer merchandise.
- Maintain regular on-site attendance and perform other assigned duties.

- Forklift over 5,000 lbs. but less than 15,000 lbs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to use vision effectively and work on a computer screen.
- Stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- Reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance as required.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work on-site at the assigned location.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and complete forms, checklists, and related documents.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to balance both team and individual responsibilities.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- More than one year of related warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
Certifications and Licenses
- Forklift certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Additional professional certifications may be required based on assignment needs.
