Receiving is gearing up, outbound orders are queued, and you’re orchestrating people, products, and processes so everything moves with accuracy and speed.
By mid-morning, you’ve walked the floor to spot-check inventory locations, approved put-away plans, and answered a vendor question with help from purchasing. After lunch, you facilitate a short coaching session to sharpen picking accuracy and refresh safety practices. You wrap by reconciling counts, reviewing performance metrics, and outlining tomorrow’s plan to support broader warehouse goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations to drive efficiency and precision across receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate associates to build a positive, high-performance culture.
- Own inventory control practices, ensuring products are received, stored, and dispatched correctly.
- Champion safety protocols and enforce adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and resolve issues quickly.
- Deliver ongoing training to elevate team skills and knowledge.
- Track and interpret performance metrics; provide constructive feedback to improve results.
- Contribute to the development and rollout of warehouse strategies and operational objectives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in logistics or management is a plus.
- Hands-on warehouse experience with a minimum of 2 years leading teams.
- Working knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse best practices.
- Clear, confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Thrives in fast-paced settings and can juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Analytical problem-solver with keen attention to detail.
- Familiar with safety regulations and compliance expectations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and experienced with warehouse management software.
