So, what will the Warehouse Specialist Supervisor at Terrestris do?
As the Warehouse Specialist Supervisor you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the distribution warehouse, leading warehouse staff to ensure materials are received, stored, inventoried, picked, packed, and delivered accurately and on schedule. Additionally, you will assign work, monitor productivity and quality, enforce safety and standard operating procedures, and work closely with Government personnel to resolve operational issues while improving efficiency, and ensuring that the warehouse is always mission-ready and audit compliant.
What does a typical day look like for a Warehouse Specialist Supervisor?
You will:
Supervise daily warehouse operations and provide direct leadership to warehouse personnel across all assigned work areas.
Assign daily work priorities and distribute labor resources based on production schedules and workload requirements.
Monitor receiving, stow, inventory movement, picking, packing, consolidation, and local delivery activities to ensure timely mission execution.
Serve as the acting on-site manager and Government point of contact during the absence of the Project/Warehouse Manager.
Conduct routine walkthroughs and spot inspections to verify compliance with contract requirements, SOPs, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Monitor workforce productivity and operational performance using WMS reports and operational metrics.
Resolve day-to-day operational issues, coordinate with Government personnel, and adjust work assignments to meet changing customer priorities.
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements that enhance productivity, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within required timelines while maintaining quality and audit readiness.
What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:
Authorization to work in the United States permanently without sponsorship.
An active Secret clearance.
A minimum of (3) years of experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or equivalent within the past (5) years.
Experience supervising warehouse, logistics, or supply operations in a military, government, or commercial distribution environment.
Working knowledge of receiving, storage, inventory control, material handling, issue/pick, and local delivery operations.
Demonstrated ability to supervise personnel, assign workloads, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of operational requirements.
Experience conducting quality inspections, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, supporting audit readiness, and implementing cost saving factors.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing requirements and rapidly adjust to changing mission needs.
Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor employees and coordinate with Government personnel.
Proficiency using warehouse management systems and standard business software applications.
Ability to obtain and maintain required installation access, Common Access Card (CAC) eligibility, and applicable Government security requirements. Ability to successfully complete Tier 3 (T3) Personnel Security Investigation (PSI).
