Job Title: General Warehouse Worker Location: On-site – Bakersfield, CA Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (occasional early starts or extended days during heavy receiving and install weeks) Reports To: Warehouse Lead Assignment Type: Temp w/ potential hire opportunities Pay: $18-$20 DOEJob SummaryAs a General Warehouse Worker, you'll support daily warehouse operations including receiving, staging, loading, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized. You'll work under the direction of the Warehouse Lead and play a key role in making sure product is received, stored, and shipped accurately and without damage.Our warehouse receives full containers and multi-pallet freight, stages product by job, and loads trucks for deliveries and installations. Work is hands-on and physical, with heavy days during large receiving and install periods.Key Responsibilities• Unload containers and trucks; help count and inspect incoming freight.• Report any visible damage or shortages to the Warehouse Lead right away — before the driver leaves.• Break down, sort, label, and stage product by order/job number.• Pull and stage product for school deliveries and installation jobs.• Load, organize, protect, and secure product in trucks so it arrives undamaged.• Help with inventory counts and report discrepancies.• Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment; operate forklifts only if certified and authorized.• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times.• Assist with job-site deliveries or installation support when needed.• Follow all safety and company policies and procedures.• Assist with other general warehouse duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired• Previous warehouse, logistics, or general labor experience.• Able to lift and move heavy, bulky, and fragile items (furniture, cabinets, boxed equipment) and stand/walk for extended periods.• Basic math and counting skills; attention to detail.• Able to follow direction and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.• Reliable transportation to and from work.• Valid California Driver’s License• High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred• Forklift certification and experience.• Container unloading or furniture handling experience.• Experience using hand tools including power toolsPhysical Requirements• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs; team-lift heavier items.• Frequent bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling.• Work in a warehouse environment with seasonal heat.• PPE required as assigned (safety-toe boots, gloves, vest as needed)
