Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Warehouse Associate whose primary responsibility is the assembly of water meter pits and related meter pit components. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality, accurately assembled products that meet LB Water's standards.

In addition to meter pit assembly, this role supports warehouse operations by receiving and stocking inventory, picking and preparing customer orders, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse and yard.

Representative Responsibilities

  • Assemble water meter pits and related components according to specifications, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Inspect assembled products for quality and completeness prior to shipment.
  • Receive, unload, inspect, and process incoming inventory.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer and transfer orders accurately.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Load trucks with correctly pulled materials for delivery.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard.
  • Assist walk-in customers by providing friendly, professional service.
  • Maintain company vehicles by washing and cleaning as needed.
  • Assist with general facility maintenance, including mowing grass and snow removal.
  • Work independently or collaboratively to complete assigned projects.
  • Maintain open communication with the Warehouse Manager and team members.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and respect toward coworkers.
  • Become LB Water forklift certified and follow all safety procedures.
  • Make occasional non-CDL deliveries as needed.
  • Develop knowledge of waterworks materials, part numbers, applications, and pipe outside diameters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, assembly, or construction experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Forklift experience preferred (certification provided by LB Water).
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures and safety practices.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials throughout the workday.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Dependable with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
