Job Description
Wastewater Engineer
The work includes the planning and design of wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and sanitary sewer conveyance systems.
Responsibilities/Top Skills/Qualifications:
- Design, permit, construction plans, specifications and bid documents
- Hydraulic modeling and analysis of systems
- Site assessments, inspections and condition assessment of existing infrastructure
- Quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment process
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surveyors, engineers, environmental scientists, etc.
- Knowledge of local permitting to ensure designs meet regulatory standards
- Client & contractor coordination
- AutoCAD / Civil3D
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good verbal communication, written communication, and organizational skills
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be willing and able to commute to our Melville office for this on-site position (non-remote).
