All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.Position: Project EngineerResponsibilitiesOversee successful execution of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints.Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure, including hydraulic and mechanical designs for distribution, pumping stations, storage facilities and treatment plants.Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, survey, civil structure, architectural, environmental) on projects.Prepare contract documentation, drawings and specifications.Assess feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products and equipment.Manage work routines of assigned staff and assign tasks.Conduct meetings with project teams; chart task performance and maintain documentation.Plan and deliver multiple projects simultaneously within defined timelines and budgets.Supervise subordinate supervisors or team leaders.Research and solve problem areas of scope and complexity.Serve as a staff specialist, applying advanced theories and concepts.Assist in proposals, negotiations and presentations.Collaborate with internal departments for client relationship development.Attend project team meetings and provide task performance reports.Coordinate with other practices and sub‑consultants; provide technical oversight and guidance.Serve as task manager of select projects.Mentor and train staff.Comply with all KCI policies and procedures and ISO standards.Conduct employee performance appraisals when applicable.Develop professional relationships through industry associations and community involvement.Assist in attracting talent to KCI.Complete tasks on time and within budget while meeting project scope.Operate within specified budget parameters.Actively manage project budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager.Achieve or exceed budget utilization targets.Conduct site visits, collect data, and prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates.Review and approve shop drawings; compare field data to base plans.Prepare preliminary concept designs and interpret technical documents.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a related field (AEC Industry).Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring engineering projects.Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.Strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance and safety protocols.Strong problem‑solving skills.Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.Pre‑employment drug screening is a condition of employment; background and motor vehicle checks may be required.Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree.#J-18808-Ljbffr
