Web-to-Print® Pouch Operator Trainee (2nd Shift) - Plant 2

Belmark is seeking a Web-to-Print Pouch Operator Trainee to be trained to set up and safely operate a pouch machine to efficiently produce quality product. Trainees must demonstrate proficiency in equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards before advancing to Web-to-Print Pouch Operator. Schedule:

• 2nd shift hours are from 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. (midnight), Monday - Thursday

Pay:

• $21 - $23 per Hour. The hourly rate for this position is determined by the level of the role, relevant experience, and may incorporate shift differentials, ensuring fair compensation that reflects both expertise and responsibilities entailed.
• The shift differential for 2nd shift is $1.00 more per hour

What will I do in this role?

• Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• Complete all training needed to fully operate a pouch machine according to company safety and quality standards.
• Assist with set up and operation of a pouch machine.
• Attention to detail and ensure quality attributes are met during the production run.
• Packing pouches per the customer pack configuration.
• Perform quality checks and making machine adjustment as necessary.
• Issue raw materials and final case/pallet count paperwork.
• Staging raw materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively utilize (writing, speaking, reading) the English language.
• Regular attendance is required. May be required to work some overtime.
• Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
• Must be able to use a ruler, calculator and various hand tools.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.???????
• Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less; identify and distinguish colors; see and identify moving images for color or registration.
• Ability to use hands and feet to operate machines for 100% of work time; stoop, kneel or crouch for 15% of work time, or walk for 10% of work time.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or less 20% of work time; 50 pounds or less 50% of work time; 75 pounds or less 20% of work time.
• May be required to lift up to 100 pounds or more.
• Eligibility for internal transfers is based on completion of required, overall performance, attendance record, qualifications, and tenure in your current position.*
