As a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist, you will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring the comfort and safety of patients across various age groups. This role involves a mix of clinical expertise, technical proficiency with advanced imaging systems, and a collaborative spirit to maintain efficient departmental workflows. You will play a vital role in patient assessment, assist with invasive procedures, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the hospital environment.
What you will do in this role:
Perform ultrasound procedures with the highest level of quality, care, and correct protocols
Interview patients and review charts/orders to obtain complete history
Assist Radiologist with invasive procedures
Ensure appropriate cleaning, maintenance, and high-level disinfecting of probes and equipment
Participate in PI and Ultrasound QA programs
Demonstrate knowledge of human growth, development, assessment, and care appropriate to the ages of patients served
Transport patients to and from the department when necessary
Help in the ordering of supplies and assist students during rotations
Maintain a steady workflow and promote teamwork within the department and hospital
Follow all risk mitigation strategies for handling hazardous or antineoplastic medications
Operate EMR, Synapse (PACS), CD Burner, Teleradiology systems, and ultrasound equipment
What qualifications you will need:
Graduation from an accredited school of ultrasonography and/or radiologic technology
Current registration in ARDMS or ARRT with advanced certifications in OB, ABD, and RVT
One year of post-graduate experience preferred
Ability to obtain all required ultrasound certifications within 12 months of hire if not already held
Current BLS upon hire
