About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Welders for a Time Manufacturing Company in Pocahontas, IA. In this role, you'll fabricate and weld components used in high-quality fiberglass service truck bodies and aerial lift equipment while supporting a leading manufacturer in the utility and telecommunications industries. What You'll Do as a Welder:- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding according to blueprints and production specifications
- Fabricate and assemble metal components using customer drawings and work instructions
- Inspect completed welds and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Measure, lay out, and position welded components accurately
- Operate grinders, drills, torches, cranes, and other fabrication equipment as assigned
- Verify part numbers and notify supervisors of material shortages as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
What You Need to Bring to the Welder Role:- Ability to successfully complete an in-house welding test
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Ability to accurately measure and lay out welded components
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Manufacturing experience with punch press, roll form, or brake press equipment is a plus
