Welder - 2nd Shift

BlueWave is hiring a Precision Welder – Second Shift for a manufacturing client based in Central Texas. As a Precision Welder, you will perform TIG and MIG welding on complex assemblies made from thin materials while maintaining tight tolerances and consistent quality. You will work closely with production and engineering teams in a precision manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-precision TIG and hard-wire MIG welding on complex components and assemblies
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions
• Set up and use welding jigs and fixtures to maintain dimensions, repeatability, and consistency
• Control heat input and welding sequences to minimize distortion and prevent burn-through
• Inspect completed welds for quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with specifications
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve fabrication issues and improve processes
• Perform routine care and maintenance of welding equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional welding experience
• Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding processes
• Experience producing precise welds on complex assemblies and thin materials
• Experience using welding jigs and fixtures
• Ability to set up welding equipment appropriately for the material and application
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
• Ability to complete TIG and hard-wire MIG welding assessments before starting
• Ability to work a second-shift schedule consisting of five to six 10-hour shifts, generally from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
• Precision manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred
• Experience with electrical work, machining, mechanical assembly, or related trades preferred
• Familiarity with inspection tools and measuring equipment preferred
• Welding certifications preferred
