Welder Fabricator

Olive Recruiting is searching for an experienced welder/fabricator for our specialized transport and heavy lift client in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute precise layouts, utilizing specialized welding techniques including TIG, MIG, and plasma cutting, with experience in welding, fabricating, and fitting.

Shift: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm M-F
Full time, Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts
• Use specialized welding equipment including TIG, MIG, and Plasma cutters
• Fit, Fabricate and Weld components to tanks, vessels and specialized transport equipment
• Develop custom pieces based on engineering or operational needs such as ramps, connectors, stands, etc
• Adherence to a high level of safety standards
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. Good housekeeping
• Work with Team members to ensure top quality and high standards while welding on steel, aluminum and various materials

Qualifications:

• Read blueprints and utilized those to Client out work and build products
• Read and understand measurements
• Layout, fit, and weld parts inside and out per the drawings
• Must have TIG & MIG welding experience. Pulsed MIG is preferred.
