Welder-Fabricator Intern

Geoprobe® welder-fabricators build a variety of parts for drilling rigs and equipment. The parts are fabricated, cleaned, and inspected before being sent to paint or other departments. Successful candidates are committed to high quality work, like variety in tasks, and have a passion for welding and fabrication.  

As an intern, you will learn to: 

• Safely fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using MIG welder, band saw, shear, metal punch, and measuring tools 
• Set-up, operate, and maintain welding equipment 
• Determine the structurally appropriate size & length of weld necessary when documentation does not specify 
• Read and accurately interpret blueprints to determine operations, required materials and timeframes for projects 
• Provide finished quality required (both with and without fixturing) in a reasonable time

Requirements

• Enrolled and in good standing in the Welding Technology program at a Technical College 
• Must provide one reference that is an instructor at your high school or Technical College
• Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn more 
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
