Job Description: Certified Welder (SMAW, TIG & MIG)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Overtime: Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed

Certifications: Required

Pre-Employment Requirements: Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder with experience in SMAW (Stick), TIG, and MIG welding. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding, fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components while maintaining high-quality workmanship and following all safety procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc/Stick), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding.

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, drawings, and technical specifications.

• Weld and fabricate metal components according to project requirements and quality standards.

• Prepare metal surfaces and materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting.

• Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and quality.

• Identify and correct welding defects as needed.

• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work area.

• Follow all workplace safety procedures and proper welding practices.

• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines.

• Be available to work overtime and weekends when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous professional welding experience with SMAW (Stick), TIG, and MIG welding.

• Current welding certifications are required. Candidates must provide proof of applicable certifications.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications.

• Knowledge of welding equipment, tools, materials, and safety procedures.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting materials.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality welds.

• Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

• Overtime and weekend availability required based on business needs.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Required welding certifications must be verified.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

• Successful completion of a background check, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
